amanda + cory

Caution: LOTS OF PICTURES IN THIS POST :)

My good friend Amanda and her new hubby, Cory, said "I do" on the 10th, and I was lucky enough to second shoot her wedding with another great friend, the talented Raquel Leal. It was the perfect day- just the right amount of sun and clouds. The ceremony was incredibly sweet, the reception a blast, and the day filled with nothin' but love. I have been working long and hard getting these pictures ready. I'm just about done- Amanda, I'll have an online gallery of everything for you shortly... but for now, here is a glimpse of their beautiful day. Raquel, I had so so much fun shooting with you. Thank you so much for the invite, and a big CONGRATULATIONS to Cory and Amanda!! much love guys.

Moses Lake Family Session

When I'm not in Seattle, we usually head East to my home town, Moses Lake. My parents still live there, along with some great friends- like this family. I've known these guys for 10 years+, and they are always so much fun. Nena (mom) was my wedding coordinator a couple years back, and let me tell you- she is fabulous. She can make anything beautiful. You should seriously give her a call if you're looking for any kind of event planning. She also happens to be super mom- did I mention she made her daughter's outfits for this shoot???! She has such an artistic eye, so when she asked me to do her family portraits, I was more than flattered. Thanks Ryan and Nena! Here's a peek...

This one was instantly my favorite... these two are so in love.

And I am so hooked on this laugh

Check out those hot shoes- Nena, you are such a rock star :)

... and I love how this guy's portrait turned out.

The candid... my favorite form of photography.

I am crazy about the cute little *pout* on the right :)

another little angel

Just a little FYI about newborns- I've added a newborn package to my price list that includes three photo sessions in the first year, all with digital negatives on DVD and 24 custom designed birth announcements to tell the world of your special arrival. The perfect way to document your little one's first year. Birth announcements are also available a 'la carte.

Here are a few from little L's newborn session. She is such a sweet little girl- she was a real trooper while I positioned her one way, and then another. :) And mom did a great job keeping her happy. Congratulations to mom and dad! What a beautiful baby. Thanks for thinking of me- I'm looking forward to her 6 month session already!

July Calendar Open

I have now opened up my July calendar. A few of the dates are already filled by earlier requests for sessions, so if you are thinking between now and July for your portraits, contact me as soon as possible to reserve the day you want.

I hope all of you mama's out there had a very wonderful Mother's Day! My husband and I went to my home town, Moses Lake, for a long weekend- it was a whirlwind, but I had so so much fun with family and friends. I was lucky enough to fit in a family session, newborn, and wedding all in two days... and I had a BLAST! I am so excited to work through all the images. (I'll be throwing a bunch on here with more details soon) I know I've been kind of bad about posting my recent sessions on here, so I pledge to get some more images up in the next week- promise. And what would this post be without an image? Here's one from my Mother's Day newborn session. She has such dainty little features- such a girl! Gorgeous comes to mind. ;)

Baby Palooza

I have had a string of the most adorable babes lately- AND I LOVE IT! Here are a few from little J's session. I had such a fun time on this shoot- he has the most lovely mom and grandma. I could have hung out all day! Such warm and welcoming people. This little guy doesn't know how lucky he is yet, but I do. :) So precious...

Playing with textures and a vintage wash. The perfect front door.

He must have been having some sweet dreams, because I caught this smile while he was sleeping.
There was a ring of daffodils that was the perfect size for a basket full of cute baby. :)
I love this picture of him and his mother- aren't they beautiful?!

This was my husband's pick. Such a sweet face.

I love all of J's looks! He was telling me all kinds of things with those eyes that day!

... and how can you not smile along with him? You're smiling, aren't you?!
